The audience of the “Rise Above” video is prospective University of Guam students — both high school age and potential returning graduate students — as well as current students to create a sense of pride in choosing to attend UOG.
 
 The video poses thought-provoking questions meant to spark a fire in students to take control of their futures: Will you find a path — or carve it? Wait for the future — or build it?
 
 As the University of Guam is the only four-year university in a 2.9 million square mile area of the Pacific and is also the most affordable higher education option in its region, the Rise Above video aims to shift public perception that a small island university can’t compete with its larger counterparts. The campaign builds awareness and promotes UOG as an ambitious, empowering choice for all who want a meaningful, rewarding future.
 
 The University of Guam ran the video in 2020. During the pandemic, "Rise Above" is also a reminder to the university community that we will get through this together.
