How do you encapsulate a father’s love for his family? It's a question asked by countless immigrants, but the answers are often left unwritten - stories tightly guarded by years of generational trauma and grief.

For AANHPI Month, we asked Vietnamese-Canadian Han Dinh about his life, experiences and above all - sacrifices - as a first-generation immigrant. Recounted through his own words to his daughter Ann, "Ba" serves as a love letter to all those who came before us, and an inspiration to others to dig deeper into the annals of their own family stories.
